Saka and Martinelli both set to be fit for Arsenal's clash with Slavia Prague

Arsenal have received a double injury boost ahead of Thursday’s Europa League second leg against Slavia Prague with Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli set to be fit.

Saka limped off during Arsenal’s 3-0 victory against Sheffield United on Sunday but club medics who assessed him are confident he only suffered a dead leg.

Martinelli, who scored Arsenal’s second goal at Bramall Lane, came off with a possible ankle injury.

But the 19-year-old Brazilian on Monday confirmed he is fit to travel to Prague.

‘I am all right to play on Thursday,’ Martinelli said. ‘I am feeling a bit tired but I’m so happy with the goal and even happier with the three points.

‘I work every single day in training, you need to prepare yourself because when Mikel Arteta needs you, you need to be there and show something.’

Arsenal drew 1-1 in the first leg of the quarter-final against Slavia last week and will be without defenders David Luiz and Kieran Tierney for the return. Martin Odegaard and Emile Smith Rowe are also injury doubts for the trip.
