Liverpool's star forward talked to the club's official website after being voted Liverpool's player of the month, noting that the Reds are in need of more victories.
Egyptian winger Mohamed Salah has been chosen as Liverpool's player of the month for January after the great performances he has delivered and the decisive goals he netted in many of the team's fixtures throughout the month.
"Of course, I am happy with the prize, but as I always say, the team comes first," Salah told Liverpool's website.
"I think the last month was better than the previous ones but we still need to win games. If I score and help the team win that makes me happy, but when I score and the team doesn't win that’s not a great feeling," he added.
Salah is currently the leader of the Premier League goal scorers chart with 16 goals, three clear of his closest challengers.
Mo went on to speak about the effect of the current pandemic situation on the team's performances and the important role of the fans. "I think that the fans always support us, especially when they were at Anfield. Now because of the coronavirus, they can't come anymore but I am sure they are always behind us."
The Egyptian winger ended by noting that the Reds just need to claim victories and stay together to get over the current setback that saw them go down 4-1 to Manchester City last Sunday.
