Spanish side Salamanca UDS have outdoored Ghanaian forward Ernest Ohemeng ahead of the start of the Segunda Division B season.

The winger joins the second tier side from CD Mirandés on a year deal.

Despite joining the club in July, the former Ghana U-20 forward was announced the club's first signing on Wednesday.

"I am prepared to help the team, we all want to play and from the first day the coach has told us that if we work well, we will play. I'm training well," he said at his unveiling.

"Yes, I want to play and for that I have to work more, everyone in the team is working well," he added.

Ohemeng moved to Spain after a good campaign with Portuguese outfit Moreirense, but his career in the Iberian country has taken off as wished.

He continued," Things did not go well for me. As a footballer I have to think about my future and Salamanca is a good opportunity for me. I think everything will be fine here."

Meanwhile manager Sergio Egea is confident the 24-year-old will be a hit at Salamanca.

“It is a pleasure to present one of our first reinforcements, who comes to bring joy to the Helmántnico stadium with his football and style of play. Skillful, with mischief and spark to give dynamics to the team's offense. The deal with Ernest Ohemeng to reach an agreement was not complicated, he trusted the project," he said.
