Salifu Ibrahim: No official bid from Royal Antwerp for Hearts of Oak star

Royal Antwerp have not made an official offer to Hearts of Oak for mercurial midfielder Salifu Ibrahim, top sources at the club have told GHANAsoccernet.com.

Reports emerged on Tuesday that the Belgian outfit has tabled US$600,000 for the services of the talented footballer.

However, its understood that no such offer has been made by the club or any other club in relation to their star midfielder.

"Hearts of Oak have not received any offer for Ibrahim Salifu. We are astonished at the media reports," a top source told Ghana's leading football website, GHANAsoccernet.com

"Such reports turn to destabilize players and subsequently the team and so we should be careful not to be peddling unfounded speculations.

"Let me emphasis that there is nothing on the table from Royal Antwerp or any other club for Ibrahim Salifu."

Ibrahim has been scintillating for the Phobians since joining from Eleven Wonders FC during the second transfer window.

The 21-year-old played an integral role for Hearts as they won the Ghana Premier League and also won the FA Cup.

Ibrahim made 33 appearances for both Hearts and Wonders in the Ghanaian top-flight in the 2020-21 campaign, scored 3 goals and provided 8 assists.

He won the man of the match award on 8 occasions, the highest a player received in the season.

Ibrahim is currently part of the Ghana national team B and also part of the Ghana U23 team.
