Samad Oppong warns Kotoko about JSM Bejaia threat

Former ES Setif striker Samad Oppong has warned Asante Kotoko to expect a marauding JSM Bejaia side in their CAF Champions League round 16 qualifier.

Kotoko will travel to Algiers for the first leg tie on March 16 before the return encounter in a fortnight at the Baba Yara Stadium.

Oppong-who had an unsuccessful two-year spell at Kotoko-played six months in Algeria before joining Ghana Premier League side New Edubiase United last season.

He is advising the Kumasi-based to adopt a well-rehearsed defensive strategy to secure a favourable result.

""Since the first leg is away, they (kotoko) have to be behind the ball because JSM pass quick in their home. They have fast wingers too and they play the same formation 5-2-3-1," Oppong said.

Kotoko eliminated Equatoguinean side Sony Nguema 8-0 on aggregate after a first leg 7-0 drubbing.
