Ex Ghana defender Samuel Osei-Kuffour has urged Sulley Muntari to quit Inter Milan in search of regular first team action elsewhere.

The 26-year-old midfielder is increasingly looking a bit player at the Italian giants following the acquisition of Ricardo Alvarez who has since taken over Muntari’s no.11 jersey.

This, many Ghanaians fear might affect the performance of the ex Udinese player which would eventually lead to his demise with the senior national team, the Black Stars.

And ex play-mate Osei-Kuffour who has once been in such a situation shares the same view.

"Sulley is a player we all admire and cherish and we know what he can do on the field of play but for me last season he didn't live up to that while at Inter Milan," Kuffour exclusively told GHANAsoccernet.com.

"This was the reason why he was loaned to Sunderland and he played well to my expectation.

"So for me, if there is a chance for him to move on and go and play somewhere that will improve him and to play good, for himself and for Ghana, I think it will be the best for him."

Muntari has been recently linked to a potentially controversial move to English side Newcastle who are cross town neighbours to Sunderland.
