Midfielder Alfred Duncan wants to use his loan move to Sampdoria to secure a place in Ghana’s squad for next year’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.

Italian giants Inter Milan have loaned the 21-year-old midfielder for the next two seasons.

“At Inter, I was fine,” he told Sky Sport Italia.

“Now, the goal is to get into the Ghanaian national team for the African Cup of Nations and I hope that my teammates will help me achieve this goal.

“I want to put on a show. I am ready to learn and experience new things. At Livorno, I learned so much and I want to continue on the same path.

“It was great. My teammates greeted me well. I have also spoken to the coach and I have met him.”

Duncan made 32 appearances on-loan at Livorno last season including 19 starts.

He was part of the Ghana under-20 team that picked bronze at the 2013 FIFA Under-20 World Cup in Turkey.
