Sampdoria striker confirmed as Inter signing

Inter have completed the deal to sign Eder from Sampdoria on an initial loan deal.

Perhaps prompted by a sharp drop in fortunes in recent weeks the Nerazzurri have acted quickly and pinched the Blucerchiati man from underneath Premier League Leicester City’s noses.

The Brazilian-born attacker will be officially unveiled to the media later today having signed a four and a half year contract, the first two of which are on loan, at the Stadio Giuesspe Meazza, confirmed by the clubs.

Joining la Samp in 2012 from Cesena, Eder had previously excelled in Serie B with the likes of Empoli and continued that development with the Blucerchiati, notching 40 goals in three and a half seasons that earned him a first Italy call-up in 2015.

It is the Biscione’s first signing of the January transfer window and the striker will likely be available to face AC Milan on Sunday.
