Samuel Boadu has disclosed the dream he had which encouraged him to accept the Hearts of Oak job.

Boadu left advocates of the Ghanaian top-flight perplexed when he departed Medeama SC to join Hearts of Oak.

Hearts of Oak were in turmoil following the sudden departure of Serbian coach Kosta Papic midway through the season.

The Phobians were sitting comfortably in 7th place with bleak hopes of ending their eleven-year trophy drought.

Boadu, who was then occupying 2nd position on the standings with Medeama SC, senr shock waves across the West African country by accepting the Hearts of Oak job which many seasoned trainers had rejected.

The 35-year-old gaffer transformed the team within his short stay at the club — going eleven games unbeaten to snatch the league title under the noses of bitterest rivals Asante Kotoko.

Boadu in an interview with Kumasi-based Light FM, disclosed the reason behind his boldness to accept the Hearts of Oak mantle.

“Before moving to Hearts of Oak I had a dream about the team. I was as Medeama when I had that dream.”

“I saw the Hearts of Oak players in a locomotive train in the dream. The players sitting at the window recognized me and started asking me about when I’ll join the club. In a week later I joined the Phobian family,” he revealed.

Boadu guided the Accra-based giants to win the league title with a game to spare.

The Club will handed the long-awaited trophy after the final match of the season against WAFA SC on Sunday.

Hearts of Oak are also on course to win the FA Cup title after reaching the Round of 16.
