Samuel Boadu has said that he is ‘proud’ after being appointed as Hearts of Oak coach and has promised to do his best for the club.

Boadu, who resigned from Medeama last week, was unveiled as the Phobians new coach on Monday, becoming the club's 18th manager under the leadership of Togbe Afede XIV.

He signed a three- and half-year contract and will reportedly receive $2,500 as his monthly salary.

“I will like to use this opportunity to thank the President and the board of Hearts of Oak to let me be part of this beautiful family.

“I will like to say God bless them because I have been looking for this opportunity for quite a long and I believe this is the time for me to be part of the Phobia family”

“I’m so proud of myself to be a coach for Phobia. I will bring out my best, I will bring my heart out to work extra hard for the club,” Boadu said at his unveiling.

Boadu’s main task is to make the team formidable so they can win titles. Hearts have not won a major trophy since 2009.
