Ghana defender Samuel Inkoom has been forced to withdraw from the squad preparing for Friday’s 2012 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Congo.
The 21-year-old picked up the problem during a five-aside training match at the Ohene Djan Sports Stadium on Monday.
He limped off and could not continue the practice.
“He had a muscle tear in his left thigh which he sustained yesterday in training. A scan today confirmed our suspicion however, he’s started treatment,†Maj. (Dr) Percy Annan told the Ghana FA official website.
