Schalke 04 line up Augsburg's Daniel Baier as possible replacement for Kevin-Prince Boateng
Schalke 04 have lined up Daniel Baier of Augsburg as a replacement for Kevin-Prince Boateng should the Ghana midfielder leave the club in the summer.
Baier, 30, has been in form for the Europa League chasers after scoring one goal in 29 appearances.
The Augsburger Allgemeine has reported about the likely clash.
Boateng has been down the pecking order at the Veltins Arena and linked to clubs in the Serie A.
But head coach Roberto di Matteo has said the player remains in his plans for next season.
