German-born Jeffrey Schlupp is delighted to have played his first match for Ghana after featuring in the friendly against Gabon.

The Leicester City striker came off the bench on Tuesday in an international fixture in Paris as the Black Stars won 2-1.

The 19-year-old was handed his debut call and is delighted after being involved in a victory in his first international start.

"We won 2-1 (didn't score). Came on the last 20 minutes so am happy to have made my debut for Ghana," Schlupp posted on Twitter.

Schlupp will now be waiting anxiously to see if he would be called up for the Africa Cup of Nations.
