'Scoring has been the dream and this record brings me joy'- John Antwi on reaching a century of goals in Egyptian league

In-form Ghana striker John Antwi is delighted with his achievement after being honoured as the first foreign player to score a century of goals in the Egyptian top-flight league.

The striker chalked the historic feat after scoring for his side against El-Gouna in the Egyptian Premier League.

The Pyramids FC forward scored again on Monday to help his side record a narrow win against Harras El Hodood to increase his tally of goals in the league.

The former Dreams FC striker scored in the 37 th minute to put the host 1-0 up in a frustrating encounter before the break.

Antwi after the game took to social media to express his delight after chalking this milestone in his career.

Antwi became the highest scoring foreigner in the history of the Egypt football in 2018 after netting 63 goals to surpass compatriot Ernest Papa Arko who had scored 61 then.

The former Eleven Wise FC and Dreams FC star scored 35 goals whilst playing for Ismaily SC from 2012 to 2015.

He also netted 11 goals for giants Al Ahly SC between 2017 and 2018.

Antwi further scored 40 goals for Misr El Makasa from August 2017 to July 2019 before leaving for moneybags Pyramids FC.

At Pyramids, the prolific attacker has scored 14 goals since joining them.

He has scored 102 goals across all competitions, 74 of them in the Egyptian Premier League and 28 in Other competitions.
