LIVE: Kotoko 2-2 Chelsea

Currently underway at the Accra Sports stadium is the game between Kumasi Asante Kotoko and Premier League champions Berekum Chelsea in the 2011 President's Cup.

Gracing the occasion is the vice President of the Republic of Ghana John Dramani Mahama who is sitting in for the President John Atta-Mills who is currently out of the country on national assignment.

The game is in commemoration of Ghana's 51st Republic Day annivesary.

A neatly taking goal by Alex Asamoah in the 19th minute provoked an iinstant response from Chelsea.

New signing Gladson Awako headed in a rebound from his own initial header which cannoned off the cross bar to level the scores two minutes later.

The Brong Ahafo lads who are gradually getting a foot hold on the game jumped into the lead throuh striker Bismark Idan on 38 minutes.

Fatawu Mohammed came off the bench to pull even for the Porcupine Warriors in the 60th minute much to the relief of the increasing frustrated Kotoko fans.

The bubbly encounter had striker Alex Asamoah scoring on just five minutes but was ruled out for offside. Chelsea's new import Gladson Awako was yellow carded even before kick off for failing to adhere to instructions of the referee to change his boots.
