Selangor FA on board with AFC Futsal coaching course

Klang: 19 participants are attending the AFC Futsal Level 1 Coaching Course which began in Klang, Malaysia on Tuesday.

The six-day course is co-organised by the Selangor Football Association and Real Sports Arena, which includes the participation of three former Malaysian national players.

It is be the 26th AFC futsal course in Kuala Lumpur and its surrounding areas, with the aim to educate coaches on the coaching process, methods and update them with the latest futsal knowledge.

Football Association of Malaysia Technical Director Peter de Roo said he will be appraising the behaviour, mentality and commitment of the coaches throughout the course.

Chiew Chun Yong, who led the Malaysian futsal national team in the recent AFF Futsal Federation in Vietnam, is the course Head Instructor.

He thanked the AFC and Selangor FA for giving him the opportunity to develop more coaches in Malaysia.

“A special thanks to the Head of AFC Futsal and Beach Soccer Development Ali Targholizadeh for his continuous support of futsal education in Malaysia, which has resulted in an increase of the number of coaches since 2010,” said Chiew.

The coaches will go through a practical and three theoretical exams.
