Selfish Ghanaian journalists push big clubs to sign wrong players - Dutchman Hans Van der Pluijm fires

Former Medeama coach Hans Van der Pluijm has made a shocking transfer claim against Ghanaian journalists, claiming "selfish" individuals unduly push big clubs in the West African nation to sign wrong players for their economic gains.

The Azam FC tactician claims self-centered journalists use their medium to heap pressure on officials to go for players they hold economic interest in.

Though falling short of mentioning names, the Dutchman launched the sensational tirade during a radio interview with Kumasi-based Ahomka FM.

“The big clubs in the country often get their signings wrong because journalists with selfish interests have been recommending and pushing their players”.

The former Ashantigold and Berekum Chelsea trainer has ruled out a return to the Ghana Premier League citing lack of respect.

Pluijm, who is married to a Ghanaian, has an extensive knowledge of the local game having spent close to two decades in the powerful West African nation.
