With 57 goals scored in the 21 games to take place in August this season, there were plenty of options to choose from when it came to selecting the inaugural Forza Italian Football Goal of the Month award.
In truth, though, we didn’t need to look too far into the season for our winner, with Jasmin Kurtic settling an Emilia-Romagna derby for SPAL against Bologna with a sensational long-range effort.
The ex-Atalanta man picked up the ball with just one thing in his mind and, from an improbable distance he sent a right-footed rocket into the top corner of the Bologna net which bounced off the post on its way.

Kurtic has been an important player for the Biancazzurri, who followed their opening day win up with another derby victory over Parma, leaving them with six points from nine available so far.
