Newly-promoted Italian Serie A side FC Crotone  have intensified their bid to sign Inter Milan wing-back Kwadwo Asamoah.

Asamoah is expected to depart Inter Milan this summer after he was declared surplus to requirement at the club.

The 31-year-old was omitted from the Nerazzurri squad for for Europa League’s knockout stage.

Benevento Calcio, who just qualified to the top-flight, put in a bid for the Ghana international but their offer was swiftly rejected by Inter Milan who are asking for €3 million.

French giants Olympique Marseille also expressed interest in snapping up the versatile midfielder but they were not willing to pay the €3 million Inter Milan were holding out for.

Now Serie A newcomers Crotone have also intensified their push for the talented Ghanaian.

Asamoah's contract with inter Milan expires in June, 2021.

He has featured in just 40 league games for Inter Milan since joining them from rivals Juventus in 2018.
