Mattia Perin – Genoa

Returned in goal for the Grifone after recovering from COVID-19 and he kept a clean sheet. Made a few crucial saves, none more outstanding than his save from Eddie Salcedo’s header.

Giovanni Di Lorenzo – Napoli

Was involved in the build-up for the Partenopei’s opening goal and he nullified the threat of Robin Gosens on Atalanta’s left flank.

Kostas Manolas – Napoli

A very assuring performance from the Greek defender and he limited the threat of Duvan Zapata in the Atalanta attack.

Tommaso Augello – Sampdoria

A dominant performance from the Doriani left-back. Crossed for Fabio Quagliarella to score the opener, nearly scored with a cross-shot, and then scored his first Blucerchiati goal soon after.

Domenico Berardi – Sassuolo

Scored a stunning equaliser for the Neroverdi at 1-1 and played a part in the winning goal. Remained an attacking threat for his side during the game even when they were trailing.

Junior Messias – Crotone

This Brazilian late bloomer was the surprise standout of the match. The Squali midfielder was at the heart of his team’s attacking play.

Rodrigo De Paul – Udinese

Provided a great link between midfield and attack and he was confident in his dribbling. Was involved in the build-up for the winner scored by Ignacio Pussetto.

Hirving Lozano – Napoli (2 Team of the Week apps)

Found the back of the net twice for the Partenopei and could have also scored another two more in their demolition of Atalanta.

Giovanni Simeone – Cagliari

It was a shoot-out between Andrea Belotti from Torino and the Argentine, whose double made the difference for the Isolani.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic – AC Milan (2 apps)

The evergreen Swede returned to the Rossoneri attack after recovering from COVID-19 and got a brace in the first half against Inter.

Edin Dzeko – Roma

Scored a double for the Giallorossi and he was involved in the play that resulted in the penalty for Roma’s third goal.
