The main reason for the persistent injuries for Ghanaian superstar footballer Kevin-Prince Boateng has been revealed with his former wife claiming too much sex is the cause of his fitness problems.

Boateng, who currently plays for German side Hertha Berlin, has suffered ill luck in his career with injuries that have blighted his performances with his clubs and sometimes his country Ghana.

Even though he has managed to stay on his feet at Hertha Berlin, e has struggled for playing time as it is thought that the injuries are still lingering

Now the big secret for his injuries have come up again and his woes have been blamed on his insatiable sex drive.

According to his ex-wife Melissa Satta, the Italian showgirl, the former AC Milan and FC Barcelona midfielder's problems are down to too much sex during the week.

"The reason Kevin is injured so often is because we have sex seven to ten times a week," Satta told Gazzetta dello Sport in 2012.

The 36-year-old presenter added: "I hate foreplay, I want to get straight to the point. I prefer to be on top so I'm in control."

Satta's comments prompted a storm of abuse, with fans labeling her a nymphomaniac.

She responded by saying, "Just because we have sex so often doesn't make me a nymphomaniac."
