McDan Shipping Company Limited are considering buying a major stake in Ghana Premier League returnees Great Olympics.

The club has approached the Tema-based shipping company to buy majority shares in the club following their promotion to the country's elite division.

Olympics have put in a formal bid - which was earlier rejected by the company.

But chairman of the company Dr Daniel McKorley has revealed the real possibility of looking at the offer.

‘’Earlier when the board of the club approached me to buy shares, I was skeptical because I knew there were too many bribery allegations in Ghana football so I didn’t want to get involved,. However, just recently they sent a formal proposal to us for consideration so we are here to observe proceedings and then take a decision," he told state-owned Graphic Sports

‘’I am confident that after a series of deliberations, we will become the biggest shareholders of Accra Great Olympics and we want to do that even before the league starts."

Current shareholders of the club include board chairman Amarkai  Amarteifio,  Metro TV [Global Village], Nick Amarteifio of Citi FM, Red Sea Housing Limited  and Lawyer Kwame Takyi.

The Wonder club are seeking a strategic investor to help cushion their brand after securing promotion to the elite division after just a season in the country's second-tier league.
