Kuala Lumpur: Defender Alvaro Silva is parting ways with Ceres Negros FC following the Philippines club’s exit from the 2019 AFC Cup.

Ceres Negros were eliminated in the 2019 AFC Cup ASEAN Zonal semi-finals by Vietnam champions Hanoi FC 3-2 on aggregate.

The centre-back, who joined Ceres Negros at the beginning of the season, started both legs of the Zonal semi-final.

“The time has come to say goodbye. Sometimes difficult decisions must be taken and even though it has not been long you have made me feel at home from the first day.

"I would like to thank everyone who made (it) possible (for) me to play in Ceres Negros FC,” Silva wrote on Instagram.
