Ghana forward Patrick Twumasi says he had 'sleepless night' after missing big chances in Gazientep's defeat to Fenerbahçe in the Turkish Super Lig.

The on-loan Alaves striker came on the 46th minute and missed several opportunities as GFK lost 2-0 at home to ten man Fenerbahçe.

"No Footballer will go to field to play and just wish to loose. Couldn’t sleep all night for missing such chances," he posted on Instagram.

"Some say it’s part of football and it’s happens to top players in the world. Sorry to our beloved fans and teammates," he added.

"Learning from mistakes and will comeback stronger. Peace!."

Max Kruse got the opener for the visitors on 51 minutes before Vedat Muriqi sealed victory in injury time.

Twumasi has been instrumental for the Super Lig newcomers, having scored 5 goals in 16 appearances.
