General Manager of FK Senica Peter Cinege has disclosed that his outfit have opened discussions with Ghanaian youngster Edmund Addo over a new deal.

Addo joined the Slovak top-flight outfit two seasons ago from Mamprobi Mighty Cosmos in 2018.

The 20-year-old became an important figure at the OMS Arena with his impressive performances.

The talented midfielder's contract with the club is however due to expire on June 30, 2020, and the club are hoping to tie him down to a new deal.

"Edmund Addo was one of the players with whom we had negotiations to return to the training process as well as to the club. We are very pleased to have found a common ground in this case for the benefit of all parties involved so that the player can continue to operate in our club and develop his talent here," Cinege explained.

Addo registered two assists in 13 Fortuna Liga games for FK Senica before the season was halted due to the global coronavirus pandemic.
