Social media unhappy with Eriksen images

Social media users have voiced their anger over the prolonged coverage following Christian Eriksen's collapse on the pitch.

Following the traumatic event, extended TV coverage and the publication of images across social media of the stricken Eriksen have prompted widespread uproar.

"It is very sad to see how in situations like that of Eriksen, the media keep publishing images without any type of empathy or respect, and as the front page. Embarrassing, it is disgusting," wrote one user.

This coverage led the Denmark players to have to form a protective wall around Eriksen to prevent the TV cameras from showing their teammate.

"Football is for the fans and footballers need to be protected but it is a disgrace that that it has to be the players who cover Eriksen. When a streaker comes on the pitch, the camera cuts out. It is disgusting and I wish Eriksen well," another user wrote.
