Former Ghana International Sola Ayew says every member of the Ayew family is delighted and proud of the feat chalked by Jordan Ayew at Crystal Palace.

Ayew emerged victorious after scooping three awards at the Eagles end of season awards night.

The Ghanaian scored 9 times in 39 games for the South London club which earned him the club’s Player of the Season, Players' Player of the Season as well as winning the gong for the best goal of the campaign.

Ayew secured 37% of the total votes from almost 6,000 supporters to beat goalkeeper Vicente Guaita (28.2%) and defender Gary Cahill (16.7%) to scoop the topmost award.

“It's not surprising to us at all, looking at what he's doing in the premier league. He has the qualities to do more than what he's even doing now,” Sola told Nkunim FM.

“The family is solidly behind him, we pray against injury and hope he can do more.”

Jordan’s elder sibling André is also hoisting the flag of the family high in South Wales with Swansea.

André could also end up replicating Jordan’s feat as he is arguably Swansea City’s best player this term, having plundered 16 league goals in all competitions to send the club to the Championship playoff.

Sola could not hide his admiration for the former Olympique Marseille man.

“As for the performance of Dede Ayew, I think we need not to waste time on it because we all know the qualities of him, what he has done and what he can do.“
