Sousa: Fiorentina will not change game plan for visit of Torino

Published on: 23 January 2016

Fiorentina coach Paulo Sousa has revealed a change of tactics for the visit of Torino in Serie A on Sunday morning is not the answer to the Viola’s recent problems.

The 45-year-old will be hoping for a victory over the Granata following successive league defeats to Lazio and AC Milan, leaving the club six points behind league leaders Napoli.

“We will not change our game plan,” Sousa told reporters during his pre match press conference.

“I believe in the consistency of work even in times of difficulty.

“The idea to change tactics does not come in a week or with the arrival of new players. The principle features must remain the same, even with new arrivals.”

Sousa has not ruled out a return to the club for Giuseppe Rossi despite the forward joining La Liga club Levante on loan until the end if the season.

“My wish is what I have always said to him, I hope to always see him happy,” he added.

“After a long recovery thanks to Fiorentina who behaved exceptionally well, he will have more space at Levante and I hope to see him again soon.”
