South Africa v Ghana: C.K Akonnor wants his players to be efficient against Bafana Bafana

Ghana coach Charles Kwablan Akonnor has charged his players to be more efficient against South Africa in tonight's 2022 World Cup qualifier.

The Black Stars managed a solitary goal win against Ethiopia last Friday, raising questions over the team's efficiency in terms of goal scoring.

"What is important is that we have to be efficient," said C.K AKonnor. "Against Ethiopia, we didn’t excite you guys but we were efficient and it’s because we won. As we speak now, we are on top of the table and so we are not going to allow influence of outside pressure to disturb us," he added.

Akonnor insists the team is focused on making a return to the global stage and will not be affected by external pressure.

The ex-Ghana captain remains c0nfident the Black Stars will grab all three points against the South Africans.

"Like I said, we are focused, we are here, we have seen South Africa against Zimbabwe, we have a strategy and we believe that it will work. We believe that even if they change their style of play we have an antidote to it and we will move out of this place with three points," added C.K Akonnor.
