The SABC has announced that it has secured the rights to broadcast Monday's highly anticipated 2022 World Cup qualifier between Bafana Bafana and Ghana in Johannesburg.

SuperSport has yet to sign a broadcasting deal with the Confederation of African Football, CAF. This means that the TV blackout in South Africa for South Africa's national teams games is still in effect.

The state broadcaster, however, has secured the rights to the second Group G World Cup qualifier in Qatar 2022.

Bafana will face the West African giants on Monday night.

Officially, the game will be made available on SABC1, SABC Radio Stations and OpenView.

The telkomONE application, which provides the new independent SABC Sports channel, also announced that the game would be available on SABC1 and SABC Radio Stations.

The games, along with all 40 CAF African World Cup qualifiers this week is also available to be streamed via the official FIFA YouTube channel.

South Africa will face Charles Akonnor's Black Stars at the FNB Stadium in the South African capital of Johannesburg.

Two heavyweights of African football face off at FNB Stadium in Johannesburg on Monday as South Africa host Ghana in a huge World Cup 2022 qualifying clash.

The hosts kicked off stage two of the qualifying process with a 0-0 draw against Zimbabwe, while Ghana beat Ethiopia 1-0 to lead the way in Group G.

South Africa is in Group G along with Ethiopia, Ghana, and Zimbabwe. They have a difficult task ahead of themselves if they want to be eligible for the global spectacle.

Only the Groups A-J winners will be able to progress to the final round for Qatar 2022 qualification.

The five remaining African nations will face off in a two-legged playoff to determine the winner.

The next World Cup, which will be held in the Middle East for the first time, is scheduled to take place between 21 November and 18 December.
