South African side Swallows FC assessing former Kotoko striker Abdul Fatawu Safiu
Former Asante Kotoko striker Abdul Fatawu Safiu is on trial at DStv Premiership side Swallows FC, GHANASoccernet.com understands.
The 27-year-old must convince head coach Dylan Kerr who has been assessing him for days now.
Safiu spent the 2021 season with Swedish third tier outfit FC Trollhattan, where he is contracted until December 2023.
He seeking a move to a bigger league after scoring one goal in 14 matches for Trollhattan.
If he is handed a deal, Safiu will join countryman Habib Mohammed whose work permit application seems to have gone through.
Swallows FC are looking for reinforcements as they lie 14th on the league table; one place above the relegation mark.
