Southampton manager Ivan Juric is confident that Ghanaian winger Kamaldeen Sulemana will soon start scoring goals for the team.
Despite Sulemana's struggles in front of goal in the Saints' 1-0 FA Cup loss to Burnley, Juric believes that the 22-year-old has the potential to make a significant impact.
"I'm sure that what I saw in training, even today, he will score the goals," Juric said. Sulemana's performance against Burnley showed glimpses of his brilliance, completing six of ten dribble attempts and recording 49 touches with an 81% passing accuracy.
However, his efforts in front of goal fell short, managing just one off-target shot and having another blocked. Juric attributed Sulemana's struggles to impatience, stating that the winger wants to do too much on his own.
Despite this, Juric remains supportive of Sulemana, who remains an integral part of Southampton's squad.
With Juric's guidance, Sulemana will focus on improving his decision-making and sharpening his impact in attacking situations.
