Ghana midfielder Mubarak Wakaso says its an honour to play for the Black Stars as he eyes his 52nd cap for the country on Saturday when they play Kenya.

The Black Stars will take on Kenya on Saturday in their final qualifier for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.

Wakaso, who plays for Spanish side Alaves, is ecxpected to play a key role for the Black Stars as they seek to finish the qualifiers in style.

The Tamale-born player says is always a privilege for him to serve his country by playing for the senior national team.

“It always good to gather and play for the national team, I am very elated to see everyone. We will approach the game with all seriousness," Wakaso said.

"Wearing the national jersey always gives me joy and demands I do my best."

Ghana are seeking to defeat Kenya as a revenge over the Harambee Stars for beating them 1-0 in Nairobi in their previous group clash last year.

The Black Stars are also seeking to finish top of the qualifying group and only a victory can guarantee them of that top place.
