Spalletti: Roma have to be more threatening

Roma coach Luciano Spalletti believes his side must be more menacing in attack but must not lose the defensive solidity that held the champions Juventus at bay for 77 minutes last time out.

The Giallorossi host Frosinone at the Stadio Olimpico on Saturday evening as they go in search of their first victory since Spalletti was reappointed earlier this month.

“We have made some progress but we still have to add something and recapture our quality,” the 56-year-old to reporters at his pre-match press conference.

“We have to be organised as we seen against Juventus, but we must also be more threatening.”

Spalletti also confirmed that Stephan El Shaarawy may make his Roma debut, but Alessandro Florenzi and Maicon are likely to miss out.

“Florenzi is unlikely to make the game as he took a whack at the end of the match with Juventus,” he added.

“Maicon has some problems but has serious intentions to play but, most important, I will assess today.”

“El Shaarawy is coming off a time when he was not playing regularly, he would be easier to use during the game.”
