Ghanaian forward Emmanuel Gyasi has revealed his readiness for the Italian series A with Spezia ahead of their opener next Sunday against Sassuolo.

The striker scored in Spezia's preseason friendly win against Pistoiese on Saturday, as he prepares to take the topflight by storm.

Spezia will begin their serie A campaign with a home game against Sassuolo at the Albert Picco Stadium.

"We started a bit tight but then we broke up and did what the coach asks of us," Emmanuel Gyasi said after the victory in the friendly against Pistoiese.

"We work a lot with the new players and with the technical staff. There are many strong young people who can help us," he added.  "Raise the technical level of the team, I can't wait to train with him."

Spezia returns to training on Monday ahead of their first game on Sunday, and Gyasi is eager for his serie A debut.

"Not yet I believe it, but from Monday we are preparing the match against Sassuolo with the desire to score points immediately," said the Spezia poster boy.

Last season, Gyasi was the Eagles top scorer as they gain promotion to the topflight.
