Friday, July 30, 2021, is the final working day for Ernest Buamah as a Sports Journalist at the renowned Multimedia Group Limited. Yes, Papa Ernesto, as he is popularly called, will bring an end to a journey that started nine years ago today.
Papa Ernesto has always been passionate about sports, so when he arrived at Multimedia in 2012, the Ghanaian media giants knew they have bolstered their sports department with a dedicated, hardworking and versatile individual.
He exhibited those qualities throughout his stay. Ernesto hosted shows on television (Adom TV) and radio (Asempa FM) before becoming the chief producer for most of Joy Sports’ flagship shows on television, especially tournament shows. Ernesto was also a regular pundit on the country's 'hottest' sports show, Fire 4 Fire.
Ernesto would be missed.
Multimedia can, however, be proud of his time with them and wish him the very best as he enters a new field.
Papa Ernesto is set to manage Green Sports Academy - a new academy based in Akatsi North, Volta Region.
The academy is for an unnamed businessman, who shares the same passion as Ernesto. They got into contact at Multimedia as the businessman frequently visited for shows and they have become great friends.
Now, the businessman has entrusted the day-to-day running of the academy into the hands of Ernesto, knowing very well he is more than competent for the task.
