Playing for Real Betis Seville since last summer, former Dutch international attacking midfielder Rafael Van Der Vaart (33) has offered himself to Reading.
Royals manager Jaap Stam confirmed that: "I heard him on the phone, and I grasped he's willing to play for us. We never had a specific talk on that, but he offered to us, and he wants to make everyone realize he's still a great player".
