Starlets to play Namibia U23 in friendly on Wednesday

The Black Starlets will play Namibia’s U23 on Wednesday to prepare for their final African Junior Championship qualifier next month.

Ghana’s U17 will face Cameroon in a two-legged exercise to contest for a qualification ticket to the 2015 finals to be hosted by Niger.

The Starlets have not kicked a ball in this year’s qualifiers after first and second round opponents Kenya and South Sudan.

Namibia’s team have been on a two-week training tour of the country and drew 1-1 with Ghana’s U20 in Accra on Sunday.

The Starlets will go into the match without head coach Paa Kwesi Fabin is off to Manchester City for a 10-day refresher course.

Assistant coach Nurudeen Ahmed will take charge.
