Ghana’s government will provide all necessary support to the Black Stars as they embark on their journey to win its fifth African crown in Gabon and Equatorial Guinea.

The state is expected to make huge financial contributions towards this bid to which the Ghana FA has presented a budget to the effect.

And on his turn in the Meet the Press series, Sports Minister Kofi Humado affirmed government’s preparedness to offer all kinds of support in making this dream a reality.

“I am happy to say that Ghana will be participation in the Africa Cup of Nations in Equatorial Guinea and Gabon next year,” he said.

“Government will provide all the support needed to ensure the success of the Black Stars who are one of the favourites for this tournament.”

Ghana drawn in Group D alongside Botswana, Guinea and Mali will face a tough task of annexing the title with highly fancied Senegal and Ivory Coast in contention.
