Aduana Stars goalkeeper Stephen Adams has revealed he aborted his dream move to Hearts of Oak because of his affinity with his employers.
The 2010 Ghana Premier League Best Goalkeeper, who was available on a free transfer, did not want to strain his healthy relationship with the club’s owner Nana Agyemang Badu II, Paramount Chief for the Dormaa Traditional Area and administrators.
He pitched for a move to Hearts but Aduana managed to convince him to pen a new two-year deal.
Adams explained it was only difficult to leave the club he has so much respect and love for.
“I wanted to move on but management refused. Even though I was a free player and I could go anywhere, I see Aduana as my mother club so I agreed to stay,†Adams told the Graphic Sports.
“Moreover, they have asked me to take my time while they search for a good club in Europe for me.â€
Adams has been a player of Aduana Stars since 2010 and was key in their historic Ghana Premier League title.
