Stephen Appiah storms Black Stars camp

Ex-Ghana captain Stephen Appiah arrived in the Black Stars camp on Friday morning in Kumasi ahead of their game against Lesotho to boost them in the World Cup qualifier.

Appiah-who quit international football after the 2010 World Cup finals-wants to offer his support to the team.

He led Ghana to two successive Word Cup finals before hanging his international boots.

The 30-year-old is active at club level and had a successful season at Serbian top-flight side Vojvodina.

Appiah has had an influence on current members of the Ghana national team.

On Thursday, injured Andre Ayew was at the team’s training session at the Baba Yara Stadium.
