Stoke City ace Xherdan Shaqiri has likened club-record signing Giannelli Imbula to Arsenal legend Patrick Vieira.
The £18.3million January acquisition from Porto scored a remarkable volley in Saturday's 3-1 win at Bournemouth and put in an overall eye-catching performance in just his second outing for the Potters, prompting the following reaction from his new teammate.
Shaqiri said: "He is quiet but he knows where to play the ball and I think you can compare him to Patrick Vieira – only Giannelli is all left foot!
"He has that ability to play secure passes all match and that is so important in a midfielder. He has an unbelievably good technique and can play that key pass."
