AshantiGold Chief Executive Kudjoe Fianoo insists striker Alex Asamoah has a future at the club despite the lack of first team action.

The 26-year-old is increasingly growing frustrated at his bench warming role since he rejoined the Miners at the beginning after a failed stint at Algerian side Entente Setif.

"There is no cause for alarm for Alex at all. Every player must bid his time to break into the team," Fianoo said.

"He's an important player to the club and he will see out the contract. He must continue to work hard and he will get his chance to play regularly.
