Ghana striker Matthew Amoah has joined Turkish top-flight side Mersim Idman Yurdu, MTNFootball.com can reveal.

The Black Stars attacker signed a two-year contract from Dutch side NAC Breda.

He was transfered for 500,000 Euros.

Mersim Idman Yurdu will have the option to extend his contract for another year.

Amoah is likely to make his debut on Saturday in a league match when they play Ankaragucu.

The two clubs reached an agreement over the transfer of the players just minutes before the Turkish transfer window closed on Monday night.

Amoah joined NAC Breda in the 2007/2008 season.

In 105 league matches he scored 43 times.

Turkey closed the transfer market last night, one week later than the rest of Europe.
