Striker Matthew Amoah sets 15-goal target at Heerenveen

Ghana striker Matthew Amoah has set a 15-goal target for his new side Heerenveen for the upcoming season.

The 31-year-old signed a one-year deal from Turkish side Mersin to replace striker Bas Dost.

"What I can do with my experience is important for the young team but of course I also have a goal. When I score fifteen goals to, I can be satisfied," Amoah told Voetbal International.

Amoah played four seasons for NAC Breda where he made 102 appearances and scored 42 goals.

He had previously played for Vitesse Arnhem and Fortuna Sittard.

Amoah played at the 2006 and 2010 FIFA World Cup finals for Ghana.
