Ghanaian striker Samuel Afum scored his fourth goal in three games in Egypt by scoring the opener for FC Smouha who thumped Misr El-Maqasha 3-1 on Wednesday.

The 22-year-old who grabbed a consolation in Saturday's 2-1 reverse at Ahly put his side ahead in the 19th minute beating a defender to power a fierce drive to the right corner of the net.

Sameh Aidarous however drew the visitors on level pecking on 62 minute but captain Godwin Attram set up Hany Ajizy whose effort came off the crossbar to bounce off goalkeeper Mustafa Kemal to enter the net.

Hany Ajizy converted a stoppage time penalty to seal the valuable three points for Smouha.

The win has taken Smouha to 12th place with 13 points.

Afum has netted seven times this season and is one goal shy of the leading top scorer.
