Ghana striker Prince Tagoe will have the opportunity to justify his place at German side TSG Hoffenheim under new coach Holger Stanislawski when he returns in the summer.
The Sinsheim-based side announced on Tuesday that it has finalised a three-year contract with the 41-year-old and he will replace Marco Pezzaiuoli .
Pezzaiuoli benched the Ghanaian striker who has proven hugely prolific at Partizan Belgrade where is on loan until the summer.
Tagoe,24, who has been asked by the club to return for the summer pre-season training in Austria will now justify his place in the team.
A club statement read: "After almost 20 years at St Pauli, he seeks a new challenge, and we are delighted that he has chosen Hoffenheim."
Ghana center-back Isaac Vorsah is a regular player for Hoffenheim.
