Norwegian side Stromsgodset might be forced to bench Ghana goalkeeper Adam Larsen Kwarasey for their UEFA Champions League qualifier against Steaua Bucuresti on Wednesday night.

The 26-year-old has been tipped to leave the Drammen-based side after refusing to sign a contract extension.

If Kwarasey plays in the match, he will be cup-tied and that could limit his chances of joining a club playing in Europe’s flagship inter-clubs competition.

The 26-year-old has been named in head coach Daniel Nielsen’s 19-man squad to face the Romanian side.

He played in all 30 matches for Stromsgodset in their league title triumph last season.
