Substitute Antoine Semenyo on target for Bristol City in defeat at Norwich

Published on: 14 September 2022

Antoine Semenyo made an immediate impact as a substitute, scoring for Bristol City, but it wasn't enough against Norwich.

Norwich secured a 3-2 win in the Championship thriller on Tuesday at Carrow Road.

The Ghana striker came on for Mark Sykes in the 69th minute and scored a consolation goal for Bristol five minutes later.

It was his fourth goal of the season, which is impressive considering he's only played 106 minutes this season.

Semenyo now has a goal every 31.5 minutes this season, thanks to his goal against Norwich City tonight.

Even more impressive, he has only had six shots on goal this season, four of which have been scored.

Semenyo missed Bristol's first six games of the season due to a shin injury.

He's been explosive since his return, and Bristol City are hoping his level doesn't drop because he's vital to their promotion hopes.

The 22-year-old has been included in Ghana's squad for the pre-2022 World Cup friendlies against Brazil and Nicaragua.
