Sunderland fullback DeAndre Yedlin is delighted to be part of their recent revival.
Sunderland have played 3-5-2 in their last two outings and have kept clean sheets in both games, with Sam Allardyce's work on defensive organisation finally beginning to pay off, and plug the gaps in a back line that was leaking goals at an alarming rate early in the season.
On-loan Tottenham defender Yedlin told the Evening Chronicle: “We're a lot more focused defensively and we've seen in these last few games what we can do.
“As a defender, that's our main focus â to not concede goals.
“I think the gaffer has definitely brought a more defensive approach on the training ground and that's helped us.
“The guys up front are doing great work â Jermain (Defoe), Duncan (Watmore) and (Steven) Fletcher - and scoring the goals we need."
